Federal Cafe - Fined Substituting Liquor

Federal Cafe, 84 Union Pl, Hartford, CT 06103 was suspended and paid a fine of $500 for multiple infractions as cited by the State of Connecticut Liquor Control Commission on December 3, 2013. Among the more serious violations for which the Federal Cafe was cited, fined and suspended were Re-labeling Liquor Bottles and Substituting Brands. Both of these cited infractions by the Liquor Control Commission are not only violations of Federal and State Law, they are a violation of the trust of anyone who orders an alcoholic beverage by name. When a customer orders a specific drink with a specifically branded liquor and is served a different brand by the establishment they are committing fraud along with violating liquor laws. A consumer paying a premium price for a drink made with a specific has every right to expect that brand of liquor to be served.

Federal Cafe, 84 Union Pl, Hartford, CT 06103 has violated the confidence of their customers by substituting and re-branding liquor. This is an egregious offense against the consumer paying for alcohol and receiving less than what is ordered.
