East Rutherford, NJ – July 14, 2018

FanDuel Group opened their first SportsBook at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, NJ this morning. The sports book accepted its first legal bet in North Jersey just before 11am. Honorary first bets were placed by State Senators and former New Jersey Governor Richard Codey. The Meadowlands which is located half and hour West of Manhattan and in the heart of heavily populated North Jersey is poised to increase gaming revenue for the state. New Jersey voters in 2011 passed the sports betting referendum and argued their case in the Supreme Court.

The CEO of FanDuel Matt King, in a statement to SafeProof.org committed the companies efforts to responsible gambling. King when asked also indicated that online sports gambling for New Jersey will be ready in 6 weeks.
